79 posts · Joined 2008. #5 · Jun 13, 2010. I went to Advance Auto for front studs, they looked it up on the computer sold me the specified item -- which had the wrong size shank. Went to a local auto store, their computer showed TWO sizes for a 99 WJ (front). Bought the larger size, it was fine.
Because it woult be easier and less expensive to acquire some WJ V8 axles that are already geared to 3.73. I spent $200 for both axles and ran 265/76R16's and the WJ felt greatwhat more can yo get out of a 4.0. OP, you need to consider what size of tires you are running and then go from there.

So I took it to the Local Jeep Dealership, and they tried to re calibrate the speedometer for my new tires (245/70/17) and after 2 hours they came back saying they couldn't do it. They said the Pinion would only go so low, then reset to the factory default.
